School Participatory Budget – digital tool for forming an active citizen

The toolkit will help to develop the following skills and competencies:
• developing and discussing ideas, creating documents, communicating, team-work and assigning roles;
• developing critical thinking and assessing one's position for further project implementation;
• researching and drawing up budgets;
• a sense of involvement and importance of each child's voice, activity and experience of audience interaction;
• forming arguments and answers for public speaking;
• participating in discussions and voting to understand the process of direct democracy, developing self-assurance and confidence in one's actions.

The toolkit will help prepare and adapt the Regulation "On the Implementation of the School Participatory Budget". It incorporates the Council of Europe standards regarding public participation in the decision-making process and showcases successful examples of their implementation.
