UChange - methodology of teaching the basics of public participation in a game format
UChange toolkit(1) for learning the basics of public participation in a reality game format. Practical use of a universal example of the game component of the DIY4Change method. Built around the educational concept of "learning by doing," it focuses on solving specific issues, implementing initiatives and projects at local, regional, and national levels. The gamification and learning-by-doing format foster effective solutions and facilitate dialogue between the public and authorities.

The game component reflects the main cycles: decision-making, budgeting, implementation of state and local policies, formation of advocacy and communication campaigns.
The toolkit incorporates the standards of the Council of Europe regarding public participation in the decision-making process and demonstrates their implementation using successful examples.
The toolkit was used to develop the National Strategy for the Development of Civil Society, national action plans of the Government of Ukraine under the Open Government Partnership international Initiative, proposals for the preparation of development strategies and action plans of local self-government bodies in Ukraine, development of the All-Ukrainian Participatory Budget projects, etc.
